The González Byass Foundation celebrates, once again, the International Archives Day with a doors open day at its Historical Archives. In this occasion, an exhibition of photographs, documents and objects belonging to the El Altillo Fund will be on display.
On June 9, 1948, UNESCO created the International Archives Council and, since 2008, June 9 marks the International Archives Day. This date aims to promote the value of these institutions to the service of research, culture and memory.
The González Byass Foundation, once again, wishes to join this celebration with the dissemination of its documentary heritage by organising a doors open day on Friday, June 9. During that day part of the Foundation’s funds will be shown: this time, the focus will be on Finca El Altillo, through an exhibition of documents, photographs and equipment that will help narrate the story of the people who lived in this estate from the mid-nineteenth century to the beginning of the present century.
Two guided groups will visit the premises at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
