Our team is passionate about bringing the best products to our customers, and we are looking for a dynamic, experienced Business Development Manager to join us in London.
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and expanding our footprint in the competitive wine and spirits market. This is a highly autonomous role, ideal for a motivated individual with a strong network, a passion for the industry, and the drive to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting & Cold Calling: Identify and approach new business opportunities, leveraging your extensive industry contacts and demonstrating resilience in a competitive market.
- Account Management: Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets, consistently exceeding expectations.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform your approach.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the wider sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of strategies and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, pipeline progress, and market insights to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
About You:
We’re looking for a self-starter with:
- Experience: A proven track record in sales, ideally within the wines and spirits industry.
- Network: An extensive portfolio of trade contacts in London.
- Drive: A natural eagerness to prospect, cold call, and convert leads into long-term relationships.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Passion: A deep understanding of and enthusiasm for wines and spirits.
- Location: Must be based in or near London, with the flexibility to travel as required.
