The essence of Ribera del Duero
Nestling in a natural meander of the Duero River, the Dominio Fournier vineyards sit at the very heart of the Ribera del Duero region with plantings dating back 60 years, well before the DO was established. Here, at over 800m above sea level, gnarled old bush vines root down through the boulder-strewn alluvial terraces of the Duero, yielding Tinta del País grapes of exceptional intensity and quality.
Winemaking, under the watchful eye of Maria Santamaria, is an artisan affair, with limited production, low yields, hand craftmanship and meticulous attention to detail, dedicated to producing elegant, structured and intense red wines which breathe the unique character of Ribera del Duero.
