Neyen
The Neyen vineyard in the Apalta Valley is set apart by nature, wedged between where the Andes Mountains and the Coastal Range unite to form a stunning half-moon, and the old terraces of the Tinguiririca River. The Apalta terroir is known for a unique energy that the locals call “Neyen, the spirit of Apalta”.
The much-acclaimed wines are produced from old-vine ungrafted Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere from this unique ancient vineyard site with pre-Phylloxera vines. The Cabernet vineyard was planted in 1890, and in 1936, Carmenere vines were added.
The vineyards are 100% organic and hand harvested. The result is a powerful yet well-balanced wine with the concentration of Napa, but the length of the greatest Old-World wines…truly an icon of Chilean winemaking.
