Angels Serra, widow of the popular chef Santi Santamaría, visited Bodegas Tío Pepe and signed one of their barrels. Serra toured the historic nooks and crannies of our House in Jerez on the eve of the opening on Friday, October 27, of the restaurant Universo Santi, a unique space that merges the legacy of Santamaría and the Fundación Universo Accesible’s promotion of social integration.
Along this line, Restaurant Santi Universo will have a training center for hospitality and gardening that will train people with disabilities, who will in turn serve and service this haute cuisine hub. The restaurant will be located at "El Altillo", an estate in Jerez de la Frontera that used to be the residence of Manuel María González Ángel –founder of González Byass– during his last years.
