The recent successes of Bodegas Beronia place this winery as a benchmark in La Rioja. Beronia Reserva 2010 obtained the Rioja Trophy to the best Rioja wine at the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition. Meanwhile, Beronia Gran Reserva 2007 achieved a Regional Trophy at the Decanter Asia Wine Awards. In addition, the competition "Tempranillos al Mundo 2014" awarded Gold Medals to Beronia Reserva 2010 and Beronia Tempranillo de Elaboración Especial 2011. These international recognitions confirm Beronia’s innovative spirit ant the winery’s relentless pursuit of the highest quality. Triumph in Asia Beronia Reserva has obtained, for the first time, the Rioja Trophy at the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Competition, regarded as the chief competition in China’s wine market. Beronia Reserva is the best Rioja wine according to the jury of the contest, which is organised in association with the prestigious London-based International Wine & Spirits Competition. Likewise, Beronia Gran Reserva achieved a Regional Trophy in Asia’s largest wine competition, the Decanter Asia Wine Awards. The jury –made up of Masters of Wine, specialist journalists and experts in the world of wine– highlighted the quality of this wine, which superbly reflects the character of the Rioja terroir. Recognised year after year, the Beronia wines succeed in Asia. These two new awards, along with that achieved by Beronia Gran Reserva 2007 at the Korea Wine Challenge, place the Ollauri-based winery as a benchmark brand for the Rioja wines in Asia. Triumph in Spain The travelling "Tempranillos al Mundo 2014" competition, organised by the Spanish Federation of Oenologist Associations (FEAE), awarded Gold Medals to Beronia Reserva 2010 and Beronia Tempranillo de Elaboración Especial 2011. Oenologists, journalists, importers and other personalities from the world of wine form the jury of this contest, which has involved 387 wine samples from 32 geographical designations.
