The tenth edition of the International Travelling Competition “Tempranillos al Mundo”, held in Lisbon, has awarded a Gold Medal to Beronia Reserva Traveller´s Collection Limited Edition 2008. Wine samples from more than 35 Geographical Indications were selected to take part in an event revolving around the Tempranillo grape variety, a meeting in which this reserva –with a great potential for aging in bottle– achieved its first international success.
The jury, made up of professionals in the wine world, acknowledged the uniqueness of this wine, a perfect reflection of its Rioja terroir. Distributed exclusively in the World Duty Free Group shops, this Limited Edition made by Bodegas Beronia has aged for more than 24 months in mixed oak barrels, with staves of American oak and heads of French oak.
The result is this singular red reserva wine, of a deep, dark crimson colour. Very aromatic on the nose, it presents a balanced, fresh and persistent palate with hints of ripe fruit and reminiscences of chocolate.
