Blecua: one of the best wines of Spain

Published on
Blecua 2009, one of the great wine references of Spain, has triumphed in the major wine guides of the country. Blecua has been ranked again among the best wines of the Spanish wine scene, as determined by the scores received in the El País Annual Wine Directory (97 points), the Gourmets Guide to the Best Wines of Spain (97 points) and the Proensa Guide to the Best Wines of Spain 2016 (96 points).

Considered the cult wine from the Somontano region, Blecua is made only in exceptional vintages. With limited production, this wine gem is the result of a comprehensive triple selection of vineyards, grapes and barrels. In addition, the best Somontano wine possesses extraordinary aging potential and therefore a more than bright future.

Blecua displays a spectacular high-intensity, deep cherry colour. Complex and powerful on the nose, this rich red Somontano of fine tannins perfectly combines with truffle dishes, red meat and big and small game.
