Del Duque, the sherry that triumphs in Israel

Published on

Israel has recently joined the group of countries where the González Byass sherry wines have left their mark. On this occasion, Duque Amontillado Muy Viejo VORS has achieved immense success in the last edition of the international competition Mediterranean International Wine & Spirit Challenge, in which it was voted Best Wine in its Category and thus awarded a Double Gold Medal.

Of very limited production, Del Duque is a wine that González Byass has been making from the beginning of its history. Living proof of the passion for wine making of this Family of Wines, it represents two of the main pillars of the house: quality and authenticity. The solera that forms the base of this Premium Very Old Sherry was obtained from the first 16 sherry casks bought by Manuel María González, founder of González Byass, to the Duke of Medinaceli in 1835. Hence the name of this amontillado: Del Duque, or in the Duke’s memory.

Del Duque can be found in the finest restaurants and wine shops of Spain. It is also available on the González Byass Online Store.
