Wine Enthusiast has chosen Finca Constancia Selección as one of the "100 Best Buys" of 2017. Value for money, availability for customers and mentions and awards received are some of the criteria used by this American magazine to write a list on which Finca Constancia Selección is the only wine from the Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla designation.
This distinction recognises the work of Finca Constancia, an avant-garde winery that is creating a new wine-making style, based on the "Plot Wines" concept. With this philosophy, Finca Constancia produces wines that come from agricultural plots with unique characteristics that reflect the essence of each variety and the land on which they are born. This way, in addition to allowing vinification in separate tanks, the quality of the grapes can be better assessed and experiments with several cultivation and wine-making techniques carried out.
Finca Constancia Selección, the first wine presented by the winery, pays homage to the "Plot Wines" concept through the selection, for its making, of the red varieties from the best plots. Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Graciano make up the blend of this wine, which remains in new French and American oak barrels for 13 months. The result is a singular wine that presents intense cherry red hues, complex varietal aromas on the nose and is elegant, powerful, tasty and well-structured on the palate. Served between 15 and 18 ºC, Finca Constancia Selección is perfect to pair with red meat and cured sheep cheeses.
