González Byass stands as the first Spanish winery and sixth in the world in the "Top 100 Wineries of 2014" ranking, prepared by the wine journalists and writers making up the WAWWJ (World Association of Journalists and Writers of Wines and Spirits).
With a total of 2,853 points and 167 awards won in international competitions and contests, González Byass has been selected again as Spain’s best winery in the world. The successes of Beronia Gran Reserva at the International Wine & Spirits Competition, Tintilla de Rota Dulce at the Decanter World Wine Awards, Altos de la Finca at the Bacchus International Wine Competition, as well as the awards obtained by the González Byass VORS at the International Wine Challenge, or those of Vilarnau at the Korea Wine Challenge and Viñas del Vero at the Japan International Wine Challenge, further improve the results achieved in the 2011 and 2013 rankings, where González Byass was also ranked as top Spanish winery.
This award recognises the commitment to quality and sustainability present in the González Byass Family of Wines, which represent Spain’s wine power in the world. All the González Byass wines reflect the terroir in which they are born by showing their distinct personalities and, without a doubt, substantially contribute to enriching the country’s wine and winegrowing scene.

The WAWWJ freely associates journalists, writers, social communicators, website authors and related professions from all over the world. Since 1996, the association has been publishing this ranking which, based on the results obtained in international and national competitions, classifies wines and wine companies. The Association wants thus to honour those wineries strongly engaged in competing and disseminating the benefits of wine.
