The González Byass sherries reap new international victories

Jerez-based González Byass winery enlarges its track record with the triumphs obtained at two of the main wine events worldwide. Three of the wine jewels making up the Finos Palmas Collection, two of the exclusive over 30 year old V.O.R.S and Néctar PX Exclusive Soleras have placed González Byass again as one of the most awarded Spanish wineries in the world. International Wine Challenge One of the five Champions Trophy was won by Cuatro Palmas, an amontillado from only one of the six casks that have aged at the Gonzalez Byass wineries for 51 years. This masterwork has also been nominated to Best Wine in the World. Likewise, Una Palma, the evolution over time of a 6-year Tío Pepe, obtained the Fino Trophy. Tres Palmas, Noé and Del Duque were awarded a Gold Medal each, in the 34th edition of a contest entered by 15,000 wines from all over the world. Decanter World Wine Awards The jury of this contest –organized by the prestigious British publication Decanter and made up of leading figures in the wine industry– distinguished Tres Palmas, a Fino Amontillado that has aged for 10 years, with the Best Dry Fortified Trophy. In addition, Amontillado Cuatro Palmas, Fino Una Palma, Noé, Del Duqueand Néctar were awarded a Gold Medal each.
