González Byass will restore and convert its old winery houses –located opposite the Jerez Cathedral and next to the Alcazar– into a Boutique Hotel. With this project, the González Byass Family of Wine –currently in their fifth generation– wants to show their commitment to Jerez by recovering a unique landmark in the historic center of the city.
The first "Sherry Hotel" in the world will be located at the very Tío Pepe facilities, the most visited winery in Europe with more than 200,000 visitors every year. This initiative will reinforce the Tío Pepe experience by providing clients with a total immersion in the world of sherry and the possibility for them to get familiar with and experience this wine, its history and culture.
At this boutique hotel guests will be able to sleep among ancient wineries, enjoy a walk along the cobbled streets of the winery and awaken to the aroma of its wines. The opening of this "Sherry Hotel" is scheduled for late 2018.
