World-class Spanish artists gather at Café Comercial in Madrid to make classical music available to everyone This autumn Madrid will host THE LONDON MUSIC N1GHTS, a series of eight classical music concerts which, together with The London Nº1 and LaFonoteca, will feature the best newest Spanish artists who will perform at Café Comercial, a landmark venue in Madrid that has keenly opened its doors to this innovative cultural proposal. A project that has already consolidated itself in cities like New York, London, Paris, Berlin and Vienna, now lands in the Spanish capital to bring classical music out of its traditional patterns and habitual spaces and show, first hand, how well it can adapt to new public spaces. During the shows, the audience will have the chance to enjoy artists with brilliant records, having performed at the most prestigious stages of the world. The Quiroga Quartet, one of the best representatives of chamber music in Spain, will delight attendees to the opening concert on October 9. Later, on November 13, Lina Tur Bonet –a Balearic violinist with a fast-growing international success– will perform at Café Comercial accompanied by Enrico Onofri, one of the best Italian violinists. Forma Antiqva will close 2017 with a musical trip to the heart of baroque in a timeless and transgressive jam session on 11th December. On January 8, a further two days of Baroque music will welcome 2018, featuring Josetxu Obregón –specialist in the historical interpretation of cello– with Enrike Solinís –a solo guitarist as well as member of prestigious groups specialised in ancient music. Later, on February 12, the Navarre soprano Raquel Andueza, accompanied by her award-winning group, La Galanía, will present her repertoire. Later, one of the most dynamic and versatile metal quintets in the Spanish music arena, Spanish Brass, will offer a tour of historical pieces, from Bach to Lee Morgan, on March 12. On April 9, the pianist Judith Jáuregui, one of the most prestigious Spanish musicians, will perform, among others, Haydn and Chopin pieces, displaying his characteristic style –always faithful to the essence of each score. The closing of the series will take place on May 14 with a show by Neopercusión, a group that brings their crazy variety of musical proposals to major festivals and music halls all over the world. With the aim of bringing classical music closer to newer audiences, the price of the tickets has been set at €16; tickets can be purchased at Ticketbell.com. Furthermore, those who would like to end their evening with a great culinary experience will have the opportunity to purchase a package including the show as well as a dinner at the Café Comercial’s restaurant, at a cost of €39.
