Lusco Albariño, 2015 among the best Rías Baixas wines

Published on
Lusco Albariño 2015 has placed itself among the main wine references from Designation of Origin Rías Baixas. The latest edition of “Guía de Vinos, Destilados y Bodegas de Galicia 2017” (Guide to the Wines, Spirits and Wineries of Galicia 2017) has awarded a Gold Medal to the personality of this limited-production white wine, which beautifully represents the essence of its grape variety. The character of this 100% Albariño wine –stemming from the manual selection of the grape clusters, the use of native yeasts and a 5-month ageing on its delicate lees– has shone among the 800 Galician wine and distillate references that were tasted for the latest edition of the publication. Directed by Luis Paadín, one of the chief authorities in Galician wines around the world, this guide is the only publication specialised in the wine and distillate market of wines grown in this region. LUSCO’S HARMONIES
Acidity and liveliness on the palate distinguish Lusco 2015, which finds its ideal partner in the Atlantic gastronomy. Razor shell, baked mackerel, hake or turbot dishes are perfect companions to the minerality and freshness of this Albariño, grown in the County of Tea.
