Noé, best Very Old Pedro Ximénez of Spain

Published on

Noé Pedro Ximénez Muy Viejo V.O.R.S has triumphed again in one of the major wine competitions of Spain. After the tasting and evaluation of more than 1,800 samples of wines, the jury of the Zarzillo International Wine Competition awarded the Great Gold Zarcillo (Spanish for “vine tendril”) to this exclusive Very Old PX in the category of Liqueur Wines.

With a limited edition, this sherry, which has aged for over 30 years, follows a careful winemaking process that results in an impressive Pedro Ximénez. Antonio Flores, winemaker and master blender at González Byass, is the author of this wine gem of an intense ebony colour, with aromas of figs, coffee and spices and a very sweet, fresh and silky palate.

This success, which adds to those obtained at the International Wine and Spirits Competition (CINVE) and the selection for the "Best Wines and Spirits of Spain 2014" list prepared by the Spanish Association of Wine Journalists and Writers, places Noé as the best Very Old Pedro Ximénez of Spain.

Similarly, Apóstoles Palo Cortado Muy Viejo V.O.R.S and Fino Tío Pepe were awarded a Great Gold Zarcillo each at this competition, which aims to promote the quality of Spanish wines.

Both Noé and Apóstoles are usually found in the most exclusive restaurants and wine stores of the country.

They are also available on the González Byass Online Shop.
