Beronia has been designated, for the first time in its history, as Best Spanish Winery of the Year as it received the "Spanish Wine Producer of the Year Trophy 2018", awarded by the International Wine & Spirits Competition. The great scores obtained by the Beronia wines in previous editions of this UK contest were decisive for the jury –made up of Masters of Wine and prestigious oenologists, wine experts, wine journalists and wine writers– to designate it as Best Winery of Spain. Particularly remarkable were the previous year’s triumphs achieved by Beronia III a.C. 2015 and Beronia 198 Barricas 2009, both awarded with a Gold Medal.
From the soil to the bottle, Beronia uses artisanal and environmentally friendly techniques that result in unique wines. Among them are Beronia III a.C. –a complex, intense and persistent author wine made from a selection of Tempranillo vines of over 70 years of age– and Beronia 198 Barricas –an exclusive Reserva wine with an overwhelming character: sparkling with life but perfectly structured.
With this award, Beronia finishes an extraordinary year in which it has achieved excellent results at some of the most significant wine events of the world, such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the tasting of Spanish wines organized by James Suckling and the Peñín Guide 2019. National and international successes that distinguish the quality of the Beronia wines, present in 67 countries and with the United Kingdom, Canada, Sweden, Germany and Mexico as main export destinations.
