The Cadiz Carnival reaches its summit with the celebration of two of its major events: the Announcement of the “Goddess of the Carnival” and the finals of the Official Competition of Carnival Groups (COAC) at Gran Teatro Falla. As in previous editions, Solera 1847, "the wine of the Carnival" will support these celebrations, to be held on February 4 and 5, respectively.
All spectators attending the COAC finals, at Gran Teatro Falla, will be welcome at the theatre’s main hall by a group of Solera 1847 ambassadors, who will offer them a glass of this oloroso dulce. Likewise, the delicate aromas and hints of caramel and wood –which make up the soul of this sherry– will add their sweet touch to the Announcement of the 2016 Carnival Goddess.
In addition, the so-called Solera 1847 Passports will be distributed on February 7: they present seven challenges to become a genuine carnavalero. For every trial completed, Solera 1847 will reward participants with a tapa in a selection of bars and restaurants of Cadiz Old Town
Meanwhile, the "Solera 1847 Guiri" has concluded his research on the Cadiz Carnival. However, he has set himself one last challenge: to manage to be accepted in one of the Carnival Groups.
