Viñas del Vero Gewürztraminer Colección 2013 has achieved a Gold Medal in Expovina, Switzerland’s most important wine competition. This country is quite knowledgeable about white wines and consumes the accordingly; little by little, Spanish quality wines are consolidating their presence in this highly particular, mature and demanding market. Out of the 2,259 wines from 21 countries that were tasted during the competition, Viñas del Vero was awarded the highest distinction.
Organised by Switzerland’s Oenologist Union, the jury of Expovina is made up of 150 international wine experts who, on this occasion, had to taste and score wines from 21 countries. Viñas del Vero Gewürztraminer Colección is made from selected grapes grown at the "El Enebro" estate. It is noted for a striking luminosity in the glass that sheds an elegant match of gold and green reflections. The nose has a great aromatic potential of white flowers and eastern fruits, which, on the palate, converge into a pleasant mouth feel with a silky, sensual touch.
