Blecua 2009, Viñas del Vero Clarión 2013 and Viñas del Vero Chardonnay 2016 have been awarded a Gold Medal each at Mundus Vini. More than 6,000 samples from the main wine regions of the world have entered this wine competition, where the unique personality of the Viñas del Vero wines has been acknowledged by the members of the jury.
The special agroclimatic features of the Somontano area, its soils and diversity, make it possible for this region to produce excellent wines with a distinct personality. This is attested by the quality and aging potential of Blecua –the icon of Somontano which, one more year, has triumphed in Germany; the complexity and delicacy of Viñas del Vero Clarión –one of the greatest white wines of Spain; and the freshness of Viñas del Vero Chardonnay, one of the most prestigious wines from this Somontano winery.
