As it did in 2020, González Byass will be donating the profits from the new release of its Tío Pepe en Rama to support the hospitality industry.

González Byass presents Tío Pepe Fino en Rama 2021, a limited production wine

that is ready to release every spring. for this 12th release, winemaker Antonio Flores has selected butts of wine that represent the character and spirit of Tío Pepe. 178 years of history in a Fino that is much more than a wine: recognised and winning awards all over the world, it is a living advertising icon and the legacy of a Family of Wines.

Just as it did in 2020, González Byass will be donating the profits from the new release of its Tío Pepe en Rama to support the hospitality industry. The gesture is yet another demonstration of the Family of Wines’ commitment to the development of local communities and to improving the wellbeing of the people who make up those communities. The fact is that we are stronger together and we will get to enjoy our food and wine treasures again.

The 12th release of Tío Pepe en Rama is, as the founder of González Byass, Manuel María González, would say, an example of constancy in work and resilience in the face of adversity. The yeast has once again demonstrated that the ability to recover and to prevail are crucial to overcoming challenging times.

The albariza soil and the flor are at the heart of the González Byass style, which is depicted with precision in every bottle of Tío Pepe en Rama 2021: refined, delicate, elegant, strong, and powerful. Wild, unfiltered, en Rama. The purest expression of the vine and the winery, of its origins and of its ageing. From the butt to the glass, Tío Pepe en Rama 2021 is #LiveFlor.

In the shelter of the centuries-old González Byass cellars and following a wet autumn and cold, damp winter, the layer of flor remained intact, healthy, robust, and intense. The result was a ‘saca’ (extraction of sherry from the butt) of an incredibly delicate character.

The intensity and rich flavours of Tío Pepe en Rama 2021 make it a wine that is particularly good for drinking with food, an ideal partner for fish, seafood, vegetables, cured meats, spicy food, and rice dishes. Serve well chilled in the best fine crystal glasses.

“En Rama”

Taking its inspiration from the days when Fino was drunk straight from the butt,

Fino en Rama does not go through the usual clarification and filtering processes.

Tío Pepe en Rama is a totally pure Tío Pepe.
