Altos de la Finca 2013 by winery Finca Constancia has been selected as Best Crianza Red Wine in the semi-finals of the Competition BASF Experience on the Vineyard - Headhunters. Wines from Castilla-La Mancha, the Canary Islands, the Valencia region and the Balearic Islands took part in the blind tasting of a contest in which Altos de la Finca has established itself as the benchmark wine of Tierra de Castilla.
Faithfully reflecting the terroir of northern Toledo, Altos de la Finca is made from Syrah and Petit Verdot. After 18 months of aging in new French oak barrels, the result is a sweet and highly expressive wine, perfect to match red meats and Christmas sweets like nougat and marzipan.
About the competition
The Competition BASF Experience on the Vineyard - Headhunters aims at showing the variety and quality of Spain’s wines, regardless of the size of the wineries that make them. It also promotes knowledge of these wines by disseminating information about them, both inside and outside the Spanish borders.
