Beronia has established itself as one of the Rioja wineries with greater international recognition. The latest edition of the International Wine Challenge awarded Beronia Reserva 2011 a triple crown, as it was recognised as Best Red Wine of Spain, Best Wine of Rioja and Best Rioja Reserva Wine. Good news also came from the Decanter World Wine Awards, where Beronia III a.C. 2011 was ranked as Best Rioja Wine over £15.
Beronia Reserva, an essential classic of La Rioja, made history by winning a Triple Crown at the International Wine Challenge, one of the most demanding competitions in the world. The wine, made with Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes, is a modern-style enveloping wine that has consolidated as one of the best in Rioja in its category. Additionally, the event also awarded a Gold Medal to Beronia Crianza 2013.
Genuine and full of character, Beronia III a.C. also managed to captivate the jury of the Decanter awards, made up of –among others– 69 Masters of Wine and 26 Master Sommeliers. Through this signature wine, made from a selection of pre-phylloxera Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes, the winery has wished to pay tribute to the berones, the first settlers of La Rioja.
