Fernando Morientes, one of the most outstanding Spanish footballers of last times, visited Bodegas Tío Pepe and signed one of its barrels. Morientes, ex-footballer of teams like Albacete Balompié, Real Zaragoza, Real Madrid, A.S. Monaco, Liverpool F.C., Valencia F.C. and Olympique de Marseille, toured the historic nooks and crannies of this Jerez house and learnt how unique wines such as Fino Tío Pepe are made.
This way, the signature of the three-time winner of the UEFA Champions League has joined the sherry casks already signed by major figures of Spanish sports, such as Fernando Alonso, Jorge Lorenzo, Manuel Santana and Tommy Robredo.
