Flor de Caña 25, a rum aged for 25 years, has positioned itself first on list "The Best Rums in the Planet”, published by American newspaper The Huffington Post. This recognition to Flor de Caña 25 joins those already achieved at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, where it ranked "among the Best Products in the World", or a similar list published by the Caribbean Journal, which chose it as "Best New Rum of the Year." Likewise, its elegant, original packaging has received prestigious awards such as Design Master from The Spirits Business magazine and the prize for "Best Packaging", awarded at the International Rum Congress, held in Madrid in 2014.
Flor de Caña 25, the jewel of the eponymous Nicaraguan Distillery, is a rum that has aged naturally and is enriched by the unique properties of volcano San Cristóbal, one of the most active in Latin America. This gem ages in small bourbon barrels made of white oak and sealed with banana fibre, which results in a unique rum, full of tropical notes. Its uninterrupted aging process lends to it a remarkable amber colour and a distinctive flavour that is not boosted by either accelerators or artificial additives and has a zero sugar content.
