The González Byass Foundation celebrates the International Archives Day with the opening to the public of its Historical Archive. On this occasion, its oldest document –from 1526– will be displayed, as well as the "original recipe" of Vermouth La Copa.
UNESCO created, on June 9, 1948, the International Council on Archives and, since 2008, the International Archives Day has been celebrated every June 9th. This commemoration is intended to promote the value of these institutions, which are at the service of research, culture and memory. The González Byass Foundation wishes to join this celebration through the access to its documentary heritage and the organisation of an open day on Thursday, June 9. During the day, part of the foundation’s material will be displayed: this year, the stars will be the institution’s oldest document –a lease contract of 1526– and the Gordon stock. Visitors will also be able to view a document with the "original recipe" of Vermouth La Copa by González Byass, a delicious drink that will be tasted at the end of the visit.
Two guided tours are available at 11:00 and 13:00, for which a reservation is necessary at phone number (+34) 956 357 079.
