González Byass has achieved the best results of its history at the last edition of Mundus Vini, where it has been designated, for the second year in a row, "Best Spanish Producer". In addition to this distinction –which reaffirms the status of González Byass as one of the great players in the international wine scene– this Family of Wine has garnered 2 Grand Gold Medals and 20 Gold Medals.
González Byass Jerez (Designation of Origin Jerez-Sherry)
The jury of Mundus Vini, made up of prestigious experts in the world of wine, has distinguished Noé as Best Sherry Wine of the competition with a Great Gold Medal. In addition, wine jewels Del Duque, Apóstoles, Matusalem, Tío Pepe Cuatro Palmas, Tío Pepe Tres Palmas and Tío Pepe Una Palma were awarded a Gold Medal each, just like Leonor, Cristina, Néctar and Solera 1847.
Viñas del Vero (Designation of Origin Somontano)
The Viñas del Vero wines have also triumphed in this competition, which receives samples from more than 150 international wine regions. The Best Somontano Wine award, receiving a Grand Gold Medal, went for Viñas del Vero Gran Vos 2011. Blecua 2010, Secastilla 2013, La Miranda de Secastilla 2015 and Viñas del Vero Gewürztraminer 2017, with a Gold Medal each, were also some of the star wines that shone in the contest.
Bodegas Beronia (Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja)
Beronia, one of the most awarded wineries in the Qualified Designation of Origin Rioja in recent years, has achieved its first triple crown in this German competition with Gold Medals being awarded to wines Beronia III a.C. 2015, Beronia Reserva 2013 and Beronia Crianza 2015.
Finca Constancia (Tierra de Castilla Wine)
Mundus Vini has historically been one of the competitions that has most awarded the innovative winemaking style of this 21st-century winery. This trend has been consolidated in the last edition, where Finca Constancia Parcela 23 2016 has been awarded a Gold Medal and has emerged as Best Tierra de Castilla Wine.
Vilarnau (Designation of Origin Cava)
Vilarnau Rosé Delicat, an innovative, handcrafted Reserva Brut cava, has been recognised as Best Rosé Cava and thus awarded a Gold Medal.
Neyen and Primus
Chilean wines Neyen and Primus close the list of the winning wines at the competition: Neyen 2013 has been chosen as Best Red Wine of Chile and received a Gold Medal as award, whereas Primus The Blend 2015 has also obtained a Gold Medal.
