For the third year running, the Seville tram dresses up the feria way. This spring, Tío Pepe has adorned every tramcar in the city with the traditional wide-brimmed hat along with motifs typical to Seville's greatest popular festival: all of them follow Andy Warhol’s revolutionary, lively colourful style. The trend set by the genius behind pop art lives a golden age today, just like the sherry wines from Jerez.
Until next May 14, tram users in Seville will be part of an original, creative campaign, which adds a touch of colour and floods both riversides of the Guadalquivir with a festive air. This initiative will make us rediscover classic elements of the feria period, a season perfectly suited to enjoying Tío Pepe, a fino sherry with a festival soul that exudes light, colour and flavour: what a better accompaniment to the rich gastronomy that the city has to offer.
Some world-famous monuments of Seville, such as the Santa María de la Sede Cathedral and the Giralda Moorish bell tower, will be distinguished witnesses of a very special traveller: a tram with the emblematic Tío Pepe hat, fully ready for the April Fair. This smartly dressed Andalusian ambassador is bound to be the star of thousands of snapshots in the streets of Seville.
