Vilarnau Gran Reserva 2010 and Vilarnau Brut Reserva have won Gold Medals in The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, the most prestigious event of champagnes and sparkling wines in the international arena, organised by Tom Stevenson, the leading expert in the field.
Vilarnau (@CavesVilarnau) has won two of the seven gold medals awarded to cava wines. This contest, which only grants Gold and Silver medals, has a jury made up of some of the leading specialists in champagne and sparkling wines in the world, such as Master of Wine Essi Avellan and Dr Tony Jordan, among others.
Vilarnau Gran Reserva and Vilarnau Brut Reserva are produced using the traditional method of secondary bottle fermentation and extended aging on the cava’s lees, for 36 and 15 months respectively. The result: two cava wines with a distinctive Mediterranean character and a unique personality, whose production process is based on respect and care for the environment.
