Viñas del Vero Gran Vos, "Best Red Wine" in Cosumers’ Association’s Wine Guide

Published on
Viñas del Vero Gran Vos Reserva 2007 has recently been chosen as best red wine in the wine guide published by the Spanish Consumers’ and Users’ Organisation (OCU). Extensive analysis and a number of different tasting sessions, conducted by experts in the wine world, placed this Somontano wine as the best red wine out of 300 quality wines from the major Designations of Origin in Spain.   Obtained from the selection of the best red grapes from each vintage, Viñas del Vero Gran Vos Reserva is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. This in-cellar aging yields a harmonious wine of a deep ruby colour, with a great aromatic complexity and a very balanced tannin. "Gran Vos" means "great wine" in Old Aragonese: it is the first reserva wine produced at Viñas del Vero and was created to commemorate the opening of the winery. Its distinctive personality and complexity make this a truly unforgettable wine.   Note that for the 2015 edition of the OCU‘s Wine Guide –which celebrates its tenth anniversary– only those wines with a greater presence throughout the country have been analysed and tasted. The experts making up the tasting committee selected the best wines in three different categories: white, sparkling and red wines –where Viñas del Vero Gran Vos Reserva 2007 took the podium.   To view a video-tasting of Viñas del Vero Gran Vos 2007 by culinary expert Eufrasio Sánchez, please click on the following link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eC5Xe4wuAA<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eC5Xe4wuAA
