Cava Albert Vilarnau, awarded 92 points in the Peñín Guide

Publicada el
Albert de Vilarnau Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2010 has been awarded 92 points in the Peñín Guide, one of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish wine publications. The Peñín tasting committee, made up of four wine experts, has wanted to distinguish the quality of this long-aging Gran Reserva Brut Nature. Made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varieties, the wine has followed a process of traditional making with an in-bottle aging of 50 months on its lees. The result is a sparkling cava wine with a very special character –a personality that can only be displayed by the greatest sparkling wines– with a bright yellow colour, aromas of flowers and toasted wood, and elegant, dry and pleasant on the palate. Albert de Chardonnay Pinot Noir reflects the winemaking philosophy of Damiá Deàs and Eva Plazas, who always seek the natural expression of terroirs and choose precision viticulture as well as long aging for their wines. This author’s cava wine cleverly combines technical knowledge, modernity and tradition, three elements that constitute the basis of the working style of these prestigious winemakers. About the Peñín Guide The Peñín Guide is one of the most prestigious wine guides, both in Spain and internationally. Its 27th edition has set a new record, as more than 11,500 samples from the main Spanish wine regions have been tasted for its publication. The passion for wine and the wine culture have always set the tone of this guide, one of the main goals of which is the promotion of Spanish wine and Spanish wineries.
