Gold Baco for Beronia Rueda

Publicada el
The 29th National Wine Competition of Young Wines organised by the Spanish Wine Tasters Association, the Baco Awards, has awarded a Gold Baco to Beronia Rueda 2014. With this recognition, the youngest member of the González Byass’ Family of Wines has become one of the quality benchmarks for the Verdejo grape variety in the Spanish wine arena. The jury of this contest –made up of leading sommeliers and winemakers, as well as professionals from the distribution and communication sectors in the Spanish wine industry– has thus acknowledged the quality of Beronia Rueda. After a blind tasting, the 60 members of the jury decided to reward this wine for its character, which lies in the genuine combination of the Verdejo variety and the typical gravelly lands of the Rueda area . This 100% Verdejo wine is the result of a blend of two different productions from two different vintages: an earlier and a later harvest. The result is a shiny, fresh, tasty, highly aromatic wine that turns complex on the palate.
