The innovative wine-making style of the Finca Constancia "plot wines" has triumphed again. The Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2015, which aims to acknowledge and differentiate indisputable quality wines from all over the world, awarded a Gold Medal to Finca Constancia Parcela 23 2013 .
The parcela (Spanish for “plot of land”) 23, planted exclusively with the Tempranillo grape variety, is the origin of this wine, which seduced the jury of the contest –a panel of wine tasters of international reputation and experience. This single-variety wine is an example of Finca Constancia’s innovative wine-making style, based on the plot wine concept.
Since it was founded in 2006, wineries Finca Constancia have been producing genuine plot wines that reflect the best of each variety and the ground on which they grow. This allows for a separate winemaking process in each of the deposits and gives the winery’s technical team an opportunity to assess the quality of the grapes individually and experiment with a number of cultivation and processing techniques.
