Gold medal for La Miranda de Secastilla in Brussels

Publicada el
La Miranda de Secastilla prevailed in the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, where it was awarded a Gold Medal. This contest, which aims to acknowledge and differentiate quality wines from all over the world, has recognised the uniqueness of this Aragonese red wine, a reflect of the exceptional terroir where it is grown: the Secastilla Valley. Located in the Northeast corner of the Somontano region, the vineyards from the Secastilla Valley possess unique characteristics. The special Mediterranean microclimate surrounding the vineyard, the altitude at which it grows –700 meters above the sea level– and its orientation –which favours the optimal ripeness of the grapes– result in a collection of highly expressive, incomparable wines, such as La Miranda de Secastilla. Made chiefly with Garnacha –but slightly supplemented with Syrah and the Parraleta native variety– this red wine shows a spectacular range of violet tones, fresh aromas on the nose and a very elegant expression on the palate. A perfect combination that seduced the jury, a panel of wine tasters with great reputation and international experience.
