About Gewürztraminer Gewürztraminer is a German word. "Gewürz" means "spicy" and "traminer" refers to the Italian region of Tramini, where this grape originated. The variety has adapted perfectly in Spain, especially to the Somontano area, where Viñas del Vero has grown it since 1986. It is a very aromatic variety, rich in nuances, a suggestive, surprising and particularly delicate one, which yields very well-structured wines with lush aromas that merge floral notes (especially rose) and aromas of exotic fruits (lychee, pineapple) over a background of sweet oriental fruit.
