A sweet spring for Noé

Publicada el
Noé Pedro Ximénez Muy Viejo V.O.R.S succeeded at two recent national wine competitions. On the one hand, the CINVE 2015 (International Wine and Spirits Competition) granted Noé a Great Gold Award. On the other hand, the AEPEV (Spanish Association of Wine Journalists and Writers) ranked Noé among the "Best Wines and Spirits of Spain 2014". With a limited production, this wine jewel has aged in American oak casks for over 30 years. After this aging process, a very old sweet wine of an intense, dense ebony colour is obtained. On the nose, it evokes powerful, warm aromas of raisined fruit, enriched with notes of roasted coffee and spices. CINVE The 11th edition of CINVE, which received samples from 13 countries, also awarded Gold Medals to fino wine Tío Pepe and sherry brandy Lepanto Gran Reserva, whereas Leonor Palo Cortado received a Silver Medal. AEPEV Finca Moncloa 2011, Tío Pepe en Rama and Lepanto PX were also ranked among the "Best Wines and Spirits of Spain 2014" by the AEPEV. For this election, members of the association had to assess and select (in double round) nearly 640 wines, out of which only 34 –three per category– received awards.
