Bodegas Tío Pepe succeeded at the "Wine Tourism Awards 2015", the internationally renowned awards granted by the magazine "The Drinks International". At its fourth edition, Bodegas Tío Pepe was awarded both the "Best Wine Event" award for its initiative Tío Pepe Festival and the "Best Digital & Social Media Initiative" award for the inclusion of augmented reality in its tours to the winery.
Described as a "highly recommended" wine tourism experience , the Tío Pepe Festival offers a unique show combining opera, flamenco and sherry, on a single stage and through a series of different concerts. This proposal, which fuses different arts, has become one of the benchmark events in the field of wine tourism in Spain.
The second award rewards the search for innovation by the Jerez-based winery. With the incorporation of augmented reality, Bodegas Tío Pepe becomes a pioneer in the sector and positions itself at the forefront of wine tourism. The result is materialised in a series of unique tours, highly interactive and sensorial.
The Wine Tourism Awards acknowledge the broad and varied wine tourism offer made available by Bodegas Tío Pepe: a series of proposals based both on quality and innovation. With more than 200,000 visitors a year, this Jerez corner has become the most visited winery in Europe and one of the first ones worldwide.
The 2nd Tío Pepe II Festival - Stars in privacy
Tío Pepe Festival is an event not to be missed by music fans and sherry lovers. Its second edition, "Stars in privacy", is already warming up. During the 13th and 14th August 2015, prominent international singers in the worlds of opera and flamenco, such as Nancy Herrera and Estrella Morente (nominated for a Latin Grammy), will offer unique shows in the magical recesses of Bodegas Tío Pepe.
